There are surprisingly few cases available for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 so far – and the handful that exist can get brutally expensive. I bought six models, unboxed every single one live on camera, and scored them against a fixed checklist: Spigen, Torro, Nillkin, Wiskin, Belkin and Subcase. Alongside weight, build quality and fit, I measured the MagSafe holding force with a pull-force gauge in kilograms. Rule of thumb: anything above 1 kilo is good.

Verdict: The right choice for most people. The Nillkin combines the strongest magnet with the best build quality and is the only case that also protects the hinge – at a price well below the expensive competition. If you don’t plan on swapping cases constantly, the adhesive front piece won’t bother you.

Verdict: A good case at the wrong price. On performance it’s almost level with the Wiskin, which costs less than half and throws in two tempered glasses and a kickstand. If you’re charging $92, you need to be more generous with the accessories.
Torro Leather Case – The Only One With Inner Protection
- COMPATIBILITY – The leather case with card holder is designed and crafted exclusively to be compatible with the 2026 Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8. The precision fit ensures full, unrestricted access to the screen, camera, buttons and charging port.
- PREMIUM LEATHER - This case is handcrafted from premium cowhide leather. The top-grain leather used in constructing this case is sourced from tanneries in the United States and undergoes minimal treatment to preserve the natural properties and appearance of the leather.
- STAND FUNCTION - The Galaxy Z Fold8 case features an integrated stand function facilitating horizontal screen viewing when the handset is both folded and unfolded. Verdict: Interesting above all for anyone who carries their Fold 8 in a bag alongside keys – the inner protection prevents exactly the scratches that causes. The missing MagSafe and the high weight are the price you pay.
Spigen Air Skin – Cheap, But Unfinished
- This case is optimized for users who mainly use their foldable phone unfolded, delivering protection without getting in the way of everyday use.

Verdict: The right choice only if weight and price matter above everything else. The loose front piece is a genuine everyday annoyance, and the missing cushioning layer costs protection.
Frequently Asked Questions About Galaxy Z Fold 8 Cases
Which case has the strongest MagSafe?
The Nillkin, with a measured 1.5 kilograms of holding force. Behind it come the Subcase (just below), Belkin at 1.25 kg, Wiskin at 1.12 kg and Spigen at 1.04 kg. The Torro leather case has no MagSafe magnet at all.
Why do some cases require gluing the front piece on?
Because the outer display on the Fold ends right at the hinge, so simply clipping a piece on won’t hold. Glued front pieces sit far more securely, but can’t be reused once removed – check how many spare adhesive strips are included.
Does a standard tempered glass fit under these cases?
Yes, the common tempered glasses for the front display fit under all six tested cases. With the Nillkin it slides around slightly, otherwise there are no issues.
Do I need a separate screen protector as well?
For the outer display yes, if you want real protection against scratches and drops. For the inner display it’s more complicated – we have a dedicated in-depth test on that.
Which case suits outdoor use?
The Subcase. It’s the only one with integrated front glass and genuine all-round protection. If you’re on a building site or outdoors a lot, the weight and thickness are worth it.
