Original Apple Silicone Case for iPhone 15

By now, many are familiar with Apple’s original silicone case, and this time it’s designed for the iPhone 15. This case stands out for its fantastic material, which feels perfectly comfortable in your hand. The interior is a hard case wrapped in this silicone gel mixture, providing the best impact protection. Additionally, the case is lined with microfiber, right into the corners. This means that the frame and back of your new iPhone 15 won’t get scratched unnoticed if something gets between the case and the phone.

Despite having a tempered glass on, the edges of the case still stand about 2mm above it. This means that the display won’t touch the surface when dropped or placed face down. The rear camera is also protected by a raised edge of the case. The buttons have a perfect and audible click, and the cutouts for speakers, etc., are all well-positioned. The speakers are individually cut out as well. You can use tempered glasses with this case from my iPhone 15 tempered glass test. MagSafe is, of course, also supported.

Unfortunately, the case is not cheap, and everyone must decide for themselves whether they like it or not, as the case is not a true black, leaning more towards a very dark blue. Additionally, it’s worth considering that silicone attracts more dust and lint, and it doesn’t slide into pockets as easily as plastic cases.

Price: $49

Pros:

  • Fantastic material
  • Hard case
  • Microfiber interior protection into the corners
  • Display protection
  • Camera protection
  • Compatible with all tempered glasses
  • MagSafe supported
  • Buttons with perfect and audible click
  • Well-positioned cutouts, with speakers individually cut out

Cons:

  • Expensive
  • Not a true black
  • Silicone attracts dust and lint
  • Silicone doesn’t slide into pockets as easily

Conclusion – Who is this case suitable for?

The case is very expensive, but you get a lot for your money, including the Apple logo on the back!

ROXX Next Era Case for iPhone 15

I was already impressed with this case for the iPhone 14 Pro. They’ve used the material from Apple’s original iPad cases, which feels really soft and high-quality. The case is also very lightweight and slim, so it doesn’t add much bulk. Of course, it’s a hard case, providing protection for the display and camera lenses. It also has a microfiber lining integrated. MagSafe works just as well as with the original case. Additionally, it features metal buttons instead of rubber, which have a perfect and audible click. The cutouts for speakers, etc., are well done, and you can use all tempered glasses from my test with this case.

Unfortunately, like the silicone case mentioned earlier, the speakers are not individually cut out, and the microfiber lining doesn’t extend into the corners like with the silicone cases.

Price: €28.90

Pros:

  • Very pleasant material, without silicone drawbacks
  • Lightweight & Slim
  • Hard case
  • Interior protection
  • Display protection
  • Camera protection
  • Compatible with all tempered glasses
  • Reasonably priced

Cons:

  • Interior protection doesn’t extend into corners
  • Speakers not individually cut out

Conclusion – Who is this case suitable for?

For me, the silicone case from Apple or ROXX has always been the best. You just had to deal with the drawbacks of silicone, which attracts more dust and dirt and doesn’t slide into pockets as easily. With the NEXT ERA case, we no longer have these drawbacks, but all the advantages are still there.

Original Apple FineWoven Case for iPhone 15

The new Apple FineWoven case has received mixed reviews online. Let’s see how good it really is! The material is pretty cool and entirely new. Here, we have a hard case and a velvet lining inside the case. It provides both display and camera protection, and MagSafe is included as well. The buttons are perfectly clicky and have an audible click. All the cutouts are good, and you can use all tempered glasses from my test.

Now, let’s talk about the drawbacks. In my opinion, this material doesn’t match the iPhone, I don’t know how to describe it. It just doesn’t fit. The frame is made of basic rubber, similar to what you’d find on cheap cases. Additionally, the material isn’t very durable, as you can see in some online reviews. Considering the price, everyone will likely think twice.

Price: $59

Pros:

  • Cool material
  • Hard case
  • Kind of an interior protection
  • Display protection
  • Camera protection
  • MagSafe compatible
  • Metal buttons with perfect and audible click
  • All cutouts are good, with speakers individually cut out
  • Compatible with all tempered glasses

Cons:

  • Material doesn’t match the iPhone
  • Basic rubber frame
  • Extremely expensive
  • Material gets damaged and dirty quickly

Conclusion – Who is this case suitable for?

The new FineWoven case from Apple is supposed to replace the leather case. I don’t think people will be satisfied with it, especially at this price.

Spigen Liquid Air Case for iPhone 15

The Liquid Air case by Spigen features display and camera protection. On the inside, there’s a textured pattern that helps hold on to things like sand grains, preventing them from scratching the back of your phone. The exterior of the case has a pattern for better grip. The buttons provide a very satisfying and audible click. The cutouts for speakers, etc., are well done. This case also works with all the tempered glasses from my test.

Unfortunately, this case doesn’t have a hard shell, but it’s not a big issue since it’s quite thick. Unfortunately, MagSafe is not supported.

Price: $17.49

Pros:

  • Display protection
  • Camera protection
  • Kind of an interior protection
  • Textured for better grip
  • Buttons with good and audible click
  • All cutouts are good
  • Compatible with all tempered glasses
  • Affordable

Cons:

  • Not a hard case
  • No MagSafe
  • Very thick

Conclusion – Who is this case suitable for?

If you’re looking for thick and affordable protection without MagSafe for your new iPhone 15, this case is perfect for you.

Torras Guardian Mag Case for iPhone 15

The Torras Guardian Mag case is made of a type of plastic with a rubber frame. However, it doesn’t feel cheap. The case has a hard back and hard rubber edges. The display and rear camera are protected, and MagSafe is included. Additionally, you can change the buttons to add a bit of color. The buttons also have a good and audible click. The cutouts for speakers, etc., are well done. You can also use all tempered glasses from my test with this case.

Unfortunately, it lacks an interior protection. So, if a grain of sand gets between the case and the iPhone, it could unknowingly scratch the back. Additionally, the case is a bit too thick at the edges for my taste.

Price: $29.99

Pros:

  • Pleasant material
  • Hard case
  • Display protection
  • Camera protection
  • With MagSafe
  • Changeable buttons
  • Buttons with perfect and audible click
  • All cutouts are good
  • Compatible with all tempered glasses

Cons:

  • No interior protection
  • Very thick

Conclusion – Who is this case suitable for?

The Torras case makes a very good impression. It has all the protective features except for the interior protection. If the thickness of the case doesn’t bother you, this is a good choice.

Rhinoshield Solid Suite Case for iPhone 15

The Rhinoshield Solid Suit case is very robust, but unfortunately, it’s also quite thick. It features a hard case back with a hard rubber edge. On the inside, there’s a pattern that serves to, for example, hold a grain of sand in place so it doesn’t scratch the back of the iPhone. Display and camera protection are integrated, and MagSafe is included as well. The buttons have a very good and audible click. Also, the cutouts for speakers, etc., are well done. You can use all tempered glasses from my test with this case.

As always, Rhinoshield isn’t exactly cheap, and for me, the case is a bit too thick.

Price: $44.99

Pros:

  • Very robust
  • Hard case
  • Kind of an interior protection
  • Display protection
  • Camera protection
  • With MagSafe
  • Buttons with perfect and audible click
  • All cutouts are good, with speakers individually cut out
  • Compatible with all tempered glasses

Cons:

  • Expensive
  • Very thick

Conclusion – Who is this case suitable for?

Rhinoshield offers good quality and top-notch protection, but unfortunately, it does come at the cost of making the iPhone 15 noticeably thicker.
