There are already countless MagSafe power banks on the market. Almost every tech brand now sells some kind of magnetic battery pack for the iPhone.

“How is this even possible?”
Because this thing is ridiculously thin.

First Impressions
The first thing you notice is obviously the size.
Or more specifically:
the thickness.
When attached to the iPhone, the Anker Nano barely sticks out at all. Compared to most other MagSafe battery packs, it feels much more integrated into the phone itself.
But there was one thing that immediately surprised me:
the weight.
The power bank weighs around 120 grams.
For comparison, my iPhone 16 Pro Max weighs around 227 grams. That means this tiny battery pack adds more than half the weight of the phone itself.
You definitely notice that while holding it.
At the same time, the setup still feels surprisingly comfortable because the power bank is so thin. It doesn’t make the iPhone feel bulky like many larger battery packs do.

Build Quality and Everyday Use
The build quality is actually very good.
No cheap plastic, no weird flexing, and overall it feels premium in the hand. The matte finish also fits nicely with the iPhone design.
However, one thing annoyed me pretty quickly.
The power bank does not always stay perfectly aligned on the back of the phone.
The magnets are strong enough to keep it attached, but the battery pack slightly rotates during normal use. Once you notice it, you keep seeing it all the time.
It is not a dealbreaker, but definitely something worth mentioning.
Why This Power Bank Is Actually Smart
After using it for a few days, I realized something important.
Most people probably expect the wrong thing from MagSafe power banks.
People usually want a huge emergency battery that fully charges the phone one or two times.
But that is not really what the Anker Nano is designed for.
Instead, it works more like a battery extender for everyday life.
When watching videos, scrolling social media, or navigating with GPS, you simply snap it onto the back of the iPhone and your battery percentage stays almost constant.
And honestly, that feels much better than carrying cables around.
You can also use it to wirelessly charge AirPods, which is surprisingly useful during daily use.
Can It Fully Charge an iPhone 16 Pro Max?
This is probably the biggest question.
The Anker Nano claims to offer 5000mAh capacity, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max battery sits somewhere around 4500mAh.
Sounds like an easy full charge, right?
Not exactly.
Wireless charging loses a lot of energy through heat and conversion losses. Realistically, you only get around 3000 to 3500mAh of usable capacity from this power bank.
In my testing, it charged the iPhone 16 Pro Max by around 60 to 75 percent.
So no, it cannot fully recharge the phone.
But honestly?
That might not even matter.
Because this power bank works best when you use it during the day instead of waiting for your phone to almost die.

Final Thoughts
The Anker Nano is not trying to be the biggest or most powerful power bank.
And that is exactly why it works.
It focuses on being thin enough that you actually want to carry it every day.
That sounds simple, but most power banks completely fail at this.
The thinner it feels, the less it feels like carrying a power bank at all.
And that might secretly be the entire point.
