The MiraCase was the cheapest of the ten cases in my iPhone 18 Pro test, and also the most extreme. It weighs almost three times as much as the lightest case, protects the iPhone from every side and beat everything else in the MagSafe test. Here’s who it’s worth it for.

Unboxing Is Already a Fight

The packaging is designed so you can hardly open it without destroying it, probably so people don’t send the case back. It comes in black, blue and even pink.

Two Parts, Built-In Screen Protector

The MiraCase comes in two parts that you clip together around the iPhone. A screen protector is built into the front, so you don’t need a separate one. You can’t use the back part on its own, because the iPhone just falls out. Fitting it is fiddly. Once the iPhone is in, though, it won’t come out easily either. The touchscreen still responded well despite the cover, which I didn’t expect.

90 Grams

The MiraCase weighs 90 grams on the scale. That makes it by far the heaviest case in the test, since Apple’s TechWoven Case weighs 34 grams. It feels like a brick in your hand and is just as thick. It’s not for normal everyday use.

Build, Buttons, Feel

The build quality is good for $23, the cutouts line up, and nothing is covered. The speaker openings sit deep, though, which could affect the sound. The buttons are surprisingly easy to press. The surface is rather slippery, and the clear back shows fingerprints.

Protection

This is where the MiraCase is uncompromising. On the back the entire camera plateau is covered, so the lenses are fully protected. On the front, the built-in screen protector does the job. The full cover has one drawback: you can’t add separate lens protectors for the individual cameras. There’s no inner lining either, unfortunately. With microfiber inside, this case would be close to perfect for its target group. If you’d rather pair a slim case with a separate protector, you’ll find matching ones in my iPhone 18 Pro screen protector test.

MagSafe: 1.75 kg, New Record

MagSafe charging works, and you can feel how strongly the magnet pulls as soon as you attach it. In the pull test the MiraCase reached 1.75 kg. That’s the record for the whole test, ahead of the OtterBox (1.61 kg) and the ROXX NextEra (1.59 kg). For MagSafe mounts on work vehicles or off-road, it’s ideal.

Verdict

For $23, the MiraCase gives you full-body protection, a built-in screen protector and the strongest MagSafe magnet in the test. But it’s heavy, thick and slippery, and it has no inner lining. It’s a case for special jobs, on a construction site or in a trade, for example. If you’re in that group, you know it best, and you get a lot of protection for little money. Everyone else will find better options among the top-rated iPhone 18 Pro cases.
